ASTD International

In 2000, ASTD started a program to build a global community of practice, combined with local presence and action. ASTD is proud to have networks outside of the United States to facilitate the convening of members and practitioners towards the larger purpose of advancing work-related learning for individuals, organizations, and society.

ASTD's international presence is a combination of Global Networks, Global Partners, and individual professionals coming from locations outside of the United States.

ASTD Global Networks are an effort to build a global community of practice, combined with local presence and action, all of which is aligned toward the larger purpose of advancing work-related learning for individuals, organizations, and society.

ASTD Global Partners are strategically chosen to further the efforts of our Global Networks. Global Partners are typically companies or associations that are located near an established Global Network and willing to provide assistance to the Global Network's content development and convening initiatives.

ASTD now has over 3,000 international members. Most recently, more than 70 countries were represented at the ASTD 2007 International Conference & Exposition. Held each spring, this premier event for workplace learning and performance professionals features 200+ educational sessions from industry-leading experts, and a world-class EXPO filled with the latest products and services available from top suppliers.
