Thank you for your commitment to ASTD and our global community of workplace learning and performance professionals. As we approach the ASTD China Conference and certificate program scheduled to take place in Beijing, March 19-22, we continue to see organizations in the U.S. and around the world struggle with today’s economic realities. Having a highly skilled workforce continues to be top of mind for business leaders – and they want their learning professionals to be creative and innovative in the delivery of training, especially as travel budgets shrink.

We deeply understand the economic realities facing many organizations – especially those in Asia – and have made the decision not to hold the conference and certificate program in Beijing this March. Please know that ASTD remains very committed to providing valuable content, networking, and professional development for you and your colleagues in the learning field.

We hope you will join us in Washington, D.C., May 31 – June 3, for the ASTD 2009 International Conference & Exposition, the world’s largest gathering of workplace learning and performance professionals – which you may also attend virtually.
