ASTD International works with International Partners to develop and support a global community for learning and HRD professionals. ASTD has special consultative status, which began in 2000, to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). ASTD’s director of international relations serves on the board of the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO), a network of human resource management and development organizations.
