The ASTD Forum is a consortium for senior practitioners to connect, collaborate, and share relevant evidenced-based and experienced-proven ideas for rapidly building organizational capability using training, learning, and performance focused tools and techniques in a lab environment.
This connecting, collaborating, and sharing happen using a social learning portfolio that includes:
- face-to-face labs
- comparative measurement using the WLP Scorecard
- virtual Sessions (vSessions)
- on-demand surveys
- direct connects with other members
- access to content data files on a members-only site discussion groups, and internal resources from ASTD.
Member organizations sign a confidentiality agreement that promotes a non- attribution environment for candid discussions. This ASTD membership group focuses at the organizational level rather than individual level. Everyone in the member company can participate.

Moving Forward by Looking Back: Celebrating 20 Years of Connecting, Collaborating, and Sharing
The ASTD Forum is celebrating its 20th anniversary of members connecting, collaborating, and learning in order to leverage best practices and enhance business results. The ASTD Forum hosted a vPanel discussion with Ed Betof, Jeanette Harrison, and George Wolfe to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The panelists have all previously served as senior learning professionals in Forum organizations.
