1. Congratulations to the March 2008 ASTD Chapter of the Month: The Greater Detroit Chapter

2. Chapter Leader Day is Sunday, June 1. Below are a few reminders about Chapter Leader Day and the International Conference & Exposition:

  • Are you planning to attend Chapter Leader Day?—RSVP to  Lindsay Hemphill by May 1
  • Special benefits are now available for chapter teams attending the International Conference & Exposition (in addition to discounted rates)
  • ASTD will offer a $5 ASTD Bookstore discount at the International Conference & Exposition for attendees that join a chapter as a new member while on site. Attendees will be able to join your chapter online so make sure the membership section of your website is current and that people can join directly through your website. (For chapters using the Chapter Administration and Membership Program (ChAMP), the new members will be processed through the online ASTD Store, as usual.)
  • The schedule of events for chapter leaders is now available—Click here for details
  • Chapter coaches will hold office hours during the conference—contact your chapter coach for details about his/her schedule
  • Avoid waiting in line for your badge—register for the International Conference & Exposition before April 18, and badges and credentials will be mailed to you

7. Anniversary logos are now available for chapters celebrating anniversaries in 2008

8. New dates in 2008 for Employee Learning Week—Get involved and showcase employee learning in your chapter this year during the second week of December (December 8-12)
