1. To promote chapter membership ASTD will offer a $5 ASTD Bookstore discount at the International Conference & Exposition for attendees who join a chapter as a new member while at the conference. Attendees will be able to join your chapter online at the ASTD Connection Center & Café so make sure the membership section of your website is current and that people can join directly through your website. (For chapters using the Chapter Administration and Membership Program (ChAMP), the new members will be processed through the online ASTD Store, as usual.)
2. New feature available on the Chapter Leader Community (CLC)—find resources by chapter leadership position
3. Tip from CORE Committee—looking for a way to increase attendance at monthly meetings?
4. Chapter Excellence Awards application now available on the CLC—deadline is September 8, 2008
