2010 ALC Chapter Budget Planning Questions:
- How many chapter leaders will we send to ALC?
- Will our chapter pay for conference registration, preconference registration, hotel accommodations, travel, and/or meals?
- Will our chapter offer a fixed amount of reimbursement or pay for the costs in advance?
- Will any of our chapter leaders potentially facilitate a session? (Session facilitators are offered complimentary conference registration. Preconference registration is $99.)
All ALC sessions and activities will take place in the Marriott Crystal Gateway in Arlington, Virginia. Special rates are available for ALC attendees.

The ALC room rate is $195 single/double. The cut-off date for room registration is September 8, 2010. You must specify “ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference” when making your reservation to guarantee this special rate.
Note: There are two Marriott sites in Crystal City. Be sure to ask for the "Crystal Gateway Marriott" when calling to make reservations.
Transportation and Restaurants
The Marriott is located in an area of Arlington, Virginia known as Crystal City. Crystal City boasts some of the city's hottest destination restaurants, a synergy of sidewalk cafes and diverse shopping. Click here for a guide to Crystal City. Although most is within walking distance, the Metro is nearby if you wish to explore other areas of Washington DC.

Please watch this page for the announcement of the 2010 online proposal submission opening which will be in March 2010. The deadline to submit a proposal is May 31, 2010.

ALC registration is a nominal $195. The preconference registration fee is an additional $99. All attendees are encouraged to register beginning May 2010. Registration will be available to any last-minute attendees on-site.
Take advantage of the chapter incentive! Chapter team registration will be available. Pricing and details will be posted in Spring 2010.
ALC 2009
The 2009 ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference attracted 330 chapter leaders from around the country. ASTD especially thanks the members of the ALC Program Advisory Committee and the Metro DC chapter for their contributions to the conference.
