Chapter Leader Day is an annual opportunity for chapter leaders from around the country to get together, share ideas, network, and learn about ASTD resources. Chapter Leader Day 2010 will focus on identifying best practices for running a chapter, provide opportunities for face-to-face networking, address challenges faced by chapter leaders, and help participants become familiar with resources and tools specific to chapter leadership.
Chapter Leader Day will include lunch with ASTD international partners and offers an opportunity to start the day by attending a networking breakfast. In addition, chapter leaders can take advantage of the Chapter Leader Room throughout the conference for additional networking and programming.
Participation in Chapter Leader Day activities is FREE to attendees registered for the ASTD International Conference and Exposition, however you must sign up to participate in advance! Click here to sign up.

Are chapter team discounts available for the ASTD 2010 International Conference & Exposition?
Yes! Your chapter members can qualify for the special chapter team discounted rate for the International Conference & Exposition in Chicago, May 16-19, if you have at least five chapter members attending. The special chapter team rate is $900 for national ASTD members and $1,200 for nonmembers. Note: all members of your conference chapter team MUST be current members of your chapter.
What are the benefits of being part of a chapter team?
In addition to receiving the significant registration discount, chapter team members have access to the Chapter Room for networking and team meetings.
How do I know if my chapter team member qualifies for the $900 member rate or the $1,200 non-member rate? If the chapter member registering is a national ASTD member, they qualify for the $900 member rate. Any chapter team registrants that are not current national ASTD members, must pay the $1,200 non-member rate. All registrants must be current members of your chapter regardless, although they do not need to be national ASTD members to be part of your chapter team.
Can my chapter earn ChIP credit for chapter team registration? Yes. Chapter members must provide the Chapter Incentive Program (ChIP) code when registering in order for your chapter to earn ChIP commission. In addition to the discounted registration for chapter members, chapters can earn 10 percent commission (up to $80 per registration) for registrations using the Chapter Incentive Program (ChIP) code.
How do we register our chapter team? To set up your chapter team, send Jeannette Lindsey at least five conference registrations with payment (jlindsey@astd.org or fax: 703.683.8184). Chapter teams will be established when at least five registrations (including payment) from the chapter are received. Once the chapter team is established, subsequent chapter team members may register online. Click here for the conference registration form (use “corporate teams” for the chapter team rate).
What is the deadline for setting up a chapter team?
There isn’t a deadline to set up a chapter team, however, we encourage chapter teams to register prior to March 31 so that their badge credentials will be mailed to them. Online registration ends May 7; after this time any chapter teams will need to register on site.
Are marketing materials available to chapter leaders to promote the ASTD International Conference to our members? Yes.
