What is OneVoice?
OneVoice is the aligned relationship between national ASTD and chapters. Increased resources from ASTD support this alignment. Our shared vision is that ASTD is a partnership through which national and chapters collaborate to meet the needs of the profession and impact organizational results through clarified roles, responsibilities, accountabilities, alignment of strategies, and consistency of messages to provide active, mutual support, and resources.
OneVoice is a partnership
The goal of OneVoice is to create partnerships between the national organization and the chapters to advance the profession as one. Our strategy is to build a strong and healthy society that consistently delivers valued offerings that serve our members and the profession—and ultimately helps organizations prosper.
Together, ASTD and chapters help to create the future of the profession.
Below is information about what ASTD is doing and what chapters can do as part of the OneVoice partnership.
What ASTD is doing
Offering tools to ease and improve chapter operations
- how-to guides, tools, templates, and other resources for areas such as communications, finances, chapter awards programs, working with suppliers, succession planning, special interest groups, community relations, advocacy, CPLP, and more
- brand guidelines and chapter-branded templates for printing through OfficeMax
- templates to implement national programs locally (e.g. Employee Learning Week toolkit)
Implementing programs and partnerships to raise chapter revenue, lower costs, and increase involvement
- Education Certificate Program Partnerships through which chapters can bring national education programs to their area and share the revenue
- local participation in national research efforts, such as the WLP Scorecard pilot, through which chapters can identify local benchmarks
- plans and supporting tools for cooperative regional joint programming, National Speakers Bureau, and how to partner with local educational institutions
- convenient ordering through OfficeMax for discounted printing and office supplies
- joint marketing efforts highlighting the complementary relationship between national and chapters and the value of both national and chapter membership

How chapters can participate
"Power of 2"
"Power of 2" is a campaign to promote joint membership. Joint members can learn about trends in the field, and gain access to research, principles, practices, and templates they can apply to directly improve their organization, community, and career.
