FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: How and when do I submit?
A:
The form is currently available online from this webpage. You may submit anytime you like, ideally while the information is current and relevant. Simply complete the
SOS Submission Form, online, and submit and e-mail any attachments to go along with that form to the SOS team at sos@astd.org.

Q: What do I need to submit?
A:
SOS is a paperless process; chapters may complete the online form(s) for one or more categories, and may attach electronic files of any tools other chapters can use.

Q: Who will review the submissions?
A:
All submissions will be reviewed by the SOS Committee and a group of current and former chapter leaders.

Q: How does this relate to CORE?
A:
SOS is a recognition program to share best practices and recognize chapter accomplishments. CORE requirements are the basic operating rules every chapter must manage within. CORE is mandatory; submitting for SOS is strongly encouraged, yet optional.

Q: How can I learn more?
