LDT description

The LDT, a national advisory committee made up of chapter leaders, recommends leadership development programs for chapter leaders, reviews session proposals for the ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference and recommends ones for selection, identifies programming gaps, and recommends topics and speakers to fill those gaps.

Programs

ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference (ALC): ALC gathers leaders from ASTD’s chapters to network and learn best practices for running their chapters. The conference provides the opportunity to network with chapter leaders and ASTD staff, to grow the profession, and to learn what it takes to be a more successful chapter leader.

ASTD Leadership Institute (ALI): ALI is the growing repository for professional and volunteer development, events, and online resources. All of these are developed and collected to support the chapter leader and enhance the job s/he does on the board.

Chapter Leader Day: Chapter Leader Day is an annual event held in conjunction with the ASTD International Conference and Exposition. During this event, chapter leaders attending the International Conference can network with fellow chapter leaders and learn about the resources available. In addition, chapter leaders can take advantage of the Chapter Leader Room throughout the conference for additional networking and programming.
