New York Metro ASTD will be presenting "Improvisation for Leaders: Creativity, Collaboration, & Choice," with Maureen Kelly, principal, Performance of a Lifetime. The event will take place at Deutche Bank on 60 Wall Street, NYC. Sign in/networking will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the program will take place from 6-8 p.m. Attend this "get up and perform" workshop and learn how to use the tools of the theater to expand and advance your performance as a leader, consultant and change agent. The Maryland Chapter will be presenting “Flash Mentoring” on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the UMBC Technology Center. The lack of available time to devote to traditional mentoring programs can be a critical barrier to successful mentoring efforts. This program, presented by K. Scott Derrick, will address the benefits of establishing or facilitating flash mentoring, a short-term mentoring arrangement between a mentor and mentee. The New York Metro Chapter will be offering an exclusive Global Learning Platform (GLP) Level 1 Certification Program. GLP Certification Level 1 will be facilitated by Catherine Mattiske, a 'trainer's trainer' who practices her methods in every session she facilitates. For a few participants, in addition to the core program, Catherine will be available to conduct personal coaching in between training sessions where participants can work with her on their own corporate projects.
