Membership Application

Membership is open to all organizations dedicated to being world-class leaders in the field of workplace training, learning, and performance improvement, and agree to provide the information required for the annual data collection and analysis. Each member organization is permitted two official representatives to the ASTD Benchmarking Forum, and is represented to ASTD through an Advisory Group composed of ASTD Benchmarking Forum members.

Membership Fee

US $8,500 per year for the first two years

US $6,000 per year each successive year

Membership Criteria

The Advisory Board will take into consideration the following when reviewing applications:

overall quality of applicant organizations

representation among a range of industries

representation within the ASTD Benchmarking Forum of emerging and critical skills, processes, and areas of expertise (such as learning technologies, insourcing, knowledge management, international training models, etc.).

Successful Applicants

are committed to being leaders in world class training, learning, and performance improvement activities within and throughout their organization

share information related to their world-class training, learning, and performance improvement services

have at least one example of "excellence-in-practice," to share within the ASTD Benchmarking Forum

commit to being an active participant in the ASTD Benchmarking Forum, with appropriate senior-level representation.

All candidates for membership in the ASTD Benchmarking Forum go through a multi-step review process. Applications are reviewed by ASTD Benchmarking Forum staff before being forwarded to the Advisory Group. The Advisory Group, made up of ASTD Benchmarking Forum representatives, makes the final determination on each application.
