Essentials of Adult Learning
Nanette Miner, Ed.D., President, The Training Doctor, LLC

This online workshop answers the questions that should guide the design and delivery of workplace training, such as: How do we motivate the adult learner? How long should a lecture be? How do I accommodate different learning styles? What is the best duration of a training session – 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours? And much more.

Audience
Those new to training or in need of a refresher on adult learning principles, subject matter experts who have been asked to step into a training role, or those who have no formal training in adult learning theory or process should come with their burning questions!

At the end of this program, you will be able to:
• Apply the facilitation principles of Adult Learning (group and individual techniques)
• Use the Training Design principles of Adult Learning (classroom, online and more)
• Motivate the adult learner and connect training to on-the-job performance
