Carol-Susan Devaney
With over 30 years of experience in helping individuals and organizations manage change, Carol-Susan has a proven track record in the field of workplace learning and performance. She has provided organizational development, executive coaching, trouble shooting, training and facilitation in both fluent English and Spanish throughout the United States. and abroad.
She has been president of DeVaney-Wong International since 1989 serving groups as varied as government, not-for-profit, and Fortune 500 companies. Sample clients include the USDA, the U.S. Army and Navy, American Safety Razor, Centex, Jacobs, University of Virginia and University of Maryland, Chubb, Commonwealth of Virginia, and Henrico, Montgomery and Broward Counties. Carol-Susan has her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She has published and been featured in articles about Change Management and Diversity and Stress Management and Change.
Elaine Biech
ASTD lead facilitator, Elaine Biech, has 23 year of experience with government, corporate, and nonprofit clients, including the U.S. Navy, NASA, Newport News Shipbuilding, American Red Cross, Lands’ End, and numerous other public and private sector organizations. She is the author or editor of numerous books and articles, including Training for Dummies, The Consultant’s Quick Start Guide and Interpersonal Skills: Understanding Your Impact on Others.
Mitch Kotula
Since 1982, Mitch has held a wide variety of Change Management leadership positions and is known as an innovator and as an expert in change implementation and transition. He is a practical consultant who can translate theories and concepts into effective solutions that work in real life situations. He is currently operating a private consulting practice, working also as a certificate program facilitator for ASTD.
While at Accenture from 1995 through 1999, Mitch had worldwide responsibility for the development and delivery of training and competency development for the Change Management practice area. As such, he worked with internal development teams and a wide variety of thought-leaders, academic institutions and practitioner organizations to provide state-of-the-art training solutions for a global practice.
Before joining Accenture, Mitch co-developed and managed KPMG Peat Marwick’s Change Management practice while maintaining an active consulting practice with clients. Prior to his KPMG experience, Mitch was a senior consultant with ODR in Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked with Daryl Conner in writing the book, Managing at the Speed of Change. Recently, Mitch was a key contributor working with Peter Robertson on the book, Always Change a Winning Team.
Sharon Lieder
Sharon Lieder is an Organization Development and Performance Consultant heading her own firm specializing in organizational performance, leadership development and strategic planning. After receiving her MBA from UCLA, she joined TRW Systems where she was involved in one of its early organizational development programs. She left there to head the staff training department at UCLA, and later at UC San Diego. In both of these positions, she started and built up the training and organization development function.
Sharon is an adjunct lecturer at the University of San Diego’s School of Business teaching Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. She is a past president of the San Diego Chapter of the ASTD and served as an Assistant Regional Director. She also serves on the board of the OD Network in San Diego.
Sharon has extensive experience in system change projects in the private and public sector. She is an experienced executive coach skilled in number of assessment instruments. Her facilitation skills are utilized by executive and project teams as well as boards of directors.
