Rhonda Askeland
Rhonda Askeland has a twenty-year background in training and development working with leaders at all levels – from C-level to individual contributors. She has worked for training companies Blessing/White and TRACOM and for her own consulting business. She has mortgage industry and publishing experience as a learning partner. She has worked with leaders in Fortune 500 companies like Hewlett-Packard, Southland Corporation, and SC Johnson. Her work with leaders has included a year-long, cutting-edge program for C-level executives at a Ameriquest Mortgage and a 15-day management development initiative for all mid-level managers in leading legal publisher, Matthew Bender. Additionally, she designed and delivered a coaching skills program for senior leaders at Option One that utilized custom video and an online tool kit designed to increase performance of their associates with follow-up support activities. Rhonda brings her sales and consulting experience and blends it with her ability to translate needs into a training design and experience that gets immediate and outstanding results. Her approach to design is to take the needs of the learner from awareness to application in a creative and engaging way. Her creativity in design and delivery earned her recognition in “Training” magazine for innovative training and experiential learning techniques.
Mimi Banta
Mimi Banta, a skilled facilitator and organization development consultant, has over 25 years of experience helping private, public sector, and not-for-profit organizations implement training and development initiatives that produce results. Clients rely on her ability to diagnose training needs, engage executives in development efforts, design and conduct training, and equip in-house staff to be effective trainers.
In addition to an educational background in Psychology and Adult Education, Mimi is certified to use a variety of tools such as the Career Architect, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, “I Speak Your Language”, and Change Style Indicator. She is also affiliated with Netspeed Leadership, Learning Tree International, and is master certified in Achieve Global products and services.
Lorimer Fauntleroy
Lorimer Fauntleroy is the owner of Pinnacle Performance Partners (P3), a Knoxville, Tennessee-based performance improvement company. P3 specializes in human performance improvement interventions involving motivational systems; organizational communications; and training design, development, and delivery. The company primarily services small to mid-size organizations.
P3 was instrumental in the redesign and development of three of the five ASTD HPI Certificate courses: Selecting and Managing Interventions, Evaluating Performance Improvement Interventions and Transitioning to Human Performance Improvement. Prior to P3, Lorimer worked for over fifteen years as a human resource manager for several large manufacturing companies.
Lorimer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Richmond and a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Tennessee.
Don Ford
Donald J. Ford, PhD, is a training and performance improvement consultant specializing in instructional design and process improvement. He has worked in the field of human resource development for twenty years, including training management positions at Southern California Gas Company, Magnavox, Allied-Signal, and Texas Instruments. His consulting clients include Toyota, Nissan, Rockwell International, Samsung Electronics, Orange County Transportation Authority, Glendale Memorial Hospital, and others. For these and other clients, he has developed custom classroom, self-study and Web-based training, conducted performance and needs analyses, facilitated groups, managed improvement projects, taught courses, and evaluated results.
He teaches graduate courses in human resource development for Antioch University, Los Angeles, and Cal State University Northridge. He has published 35 articles and three books on topics in training, education, and management, including Bottom-Line Training: How to Design and Implement Training Programs that Boost Profits (Gulf Publishing, 1999), In Action: Designing Training Programs (Editor, ASTD, 1996), and The Twain Shall Meet: The Current Study of English in China (McFarland, 1988).
Don holds a B.A. and M.A. in history and a Ph.D. in education, all from UCLA.
Barbara Greenstein
Barbara Greenstein, Principal of Human Resource Prescriptions LLC, is a performance improvement specialist providing proven and creative ways to improve human performance in the workplace. By identifying issues and opportunities for improvement, she helps organizations large and small meet their planned goals.
Barbara is highly regarded for her facilitation and instructional design skills. With over 20 years of experience in the training and development field, her mission is to help clients put the systems in place that will help them manage effectively in today’s changing business environment while ensuring optimal performance and job satisfaction for all employees.
Prior to becoming an external consultant, Barbara’s corporate experience included training and instructional design for Burger King Corporation, Pizza Hut, and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). She completed her undergraduate work in Consumer Affairs and Management at Florida International University and received a M.A. in Human Resource Development, as well as graduate certificates in Instructional Design and Total Quality Management (TQM), from Marymount University.
Barbara is an adjunct professor for the Masters Program in Human Resources at Chapman University in San Diego. She has also served as a facilitator for the University of San Diego’s Masters in Executive Leadership Program. In addition, she is a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT), a certification awarded through the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI) and the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD). Barbara is Past President of the San Diego Chapter of ASTD and an active member of ISPI.
Karen A. Travis, CPLP, SPHR
Karen Travis is the President of Travis Consulting Associates, Inc. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, for more than 12 years, Travis Consulting Associates has partnered with clients to support their training, facilitation and instructional design needs, for both classroom and e-learning endeavors. Karen is a dynamic trainer and has significant classroom experience with groups ranging in size from ten to 350+ participants. Beyond the classroom, Karen is equally adept at managing large training projects from start to finish, always focusing on an organization’s goals. Karen and her team have developed a vast array of customized training programs, as well as providing off-the-shelf training materials for leadership, supervision, customer service, listening skills, conflict resolution and team-building.
Karen has extensive experience with clients in private industry, including financial services, information technology, healthcare, as well as government agencies, law enforcement, and not-for-profit entities. Karen has trained throughout the United States and internationally, working with participants from more than two dozen countries. Prior to starting Travis Consulting, Karen gained significant work experience as a project manager for a non-profit company deploying high-speed internet services in the late eighties; serving at New York University as the Assistant Director for Administrative Computing, overseeing all non-technical areas and; and as an IT consultant for two large accounting firms, implementing financial accounting systems for more than 100 clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Karen is qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), DiSC Personality Profile, FIRO-B, the Change Style Indicator, and other self-assessment tools that help individuals and organizations understand their culture, personal preferences, individual and team behavior.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Marketing from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Applied Behavioral Science, with an emphasis in Organization Development, from Johns Hopkins University. In addition to her educational credentials, Karen is recognized by the ASTD as a Certified Professional in Learning & Performance™ (CPLP™) and also earned the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®).
