Virginia Bianco-Mathis, Ed.D.

With over twenty years of experience and a doctorate in human resource and organization development, Dr. Bianco is considered a leader in her field. Her background includes a core set of industry positions, extensive consulting with corporate and agency executives, and publications/presentations in the areas of performance management, organizational change, leadership development, executive team building and facilitation, executive coaching, conflict and dialogue, coaching, and strategic planning.

Presently, Dr. Bianco is a professor in the School of Business and department chair of management programs at Marymount University. She teaches courses in organization development, team and group dynamics, human resource strategy, and executive coaching. She is also a partner with the Strategic Performance Group. Her present consulting engagements include leadership development, executive coaching, strategic planning, team building, and organizational change. Presently, she is coaching executives within 10 major organizations across the United States.

Dr. Bianco has given major presentations at several international conferences and has published numerous articles on change, consulting practices, coaching, and performance. Her most recent publications include, "Cross-Functional Teams at AOL" (with Fitzgerald, OD Practitioner, 2002), and Leading From The Inside Out: A Coaching Model (with Roman and Nabors, Sage Publications, Spring, 2002). Her most recent publication/product is Dialogue Cards, 2006.

 
R. W. (Bob) Johnson

For more than 24 years, Bob Johnson has searched for and developed leadership potential in organizations through his coaching of senior executives and their teams. Working with organizations as small as 10 and up to 20,000 employees in size and in a variety of industries, both public and private, profit and not-for-profit, Bob has consistently helped organizations and individuals achieve their goals. Workshops, retreats, and team building initiatives are all a part of his rich portfolio of experiences. Bob has been described as “one of the leading, most seasoned, executive coaches with a style best described as one of benevolent irreverence.”

Bob’s executive coaching experience is complemented by his whole company teamwork sessions (half day to multi-day), and senior executive planning and strategy sessions and retreats including teamwork exercises using his extensive Outward Bound experience. As part of his coaching, Bob also conducts workshops in coaching, conflict resolution, recognition, employee retention, situational leadership, ethical persuasion, understanding generational differences, change, risk, trust and corporate and personal values. 

 

Lisa K. Nabors, M.Ed., PCC

Lisa Nabors is a partner with Strategic Performance Group and is recognized by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Ms. Nabors is a talented speaker and often makes presentations on the topic of coaching to industry and professional groups. She began coaching during her 16 years of experience as a successful, senior-level HR and training and development professional in private industry. Her passion is in optimizing individual, team, and organization performance, and her coaching clients include managers, executives, and teams in organizations such as AOL, AARP, U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Ms. Nabors’ coaching expertise includes gathering and feeding back data, helping clients to generate alternatives, identifying key metrics and creating action plans designed to achieve specific, measurable results.

Ms. Nabors is a certified user of all Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) 360-degree feedback instruments, the BarOn EQi and EQ 360, LEI, APT 360 Instruments, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and many customized instruments. She is an adjunct faculty member for Marymount Universityand the George Washington University, and she is the co-author of The Dialing From the Inside Out: A Coaching Model (Sage, 2002).  

Cynthia H. Roman, Ed.D., PCC

Cynthia H. Roman is an executive coach and registered organization development professional who coaches and consults in a variety of organizations, including federal, not-for-profit, higher education, and professional services sectors. She has assisted organizations with critical management and leadership issues such as coaching, mentoring, executive presence, leadership development, communication, conflict management, team development, supervision, and performance management.

As an executive coach, Dr. Roman helps organizational leaders to identify goals, develop action plans, and carry out leadership strategies. Dr. Roman has coached teams at Host Marriott, Employee Relocation Council, USDA, and The American Red Cross. Her individual coaching clients include managers from ASTD, ASCO, U.S. Departments of Treasury, Labor, Agriculture and the EPA, George Washington University, Volunteers of America, Honda North America, National Rural Telecommunications, and American Registry of Internet Numbers. In addition to her consulting and coaching work, Dr. Roman has taught graduate courses in various Washington D.C. area universities for more than 12 years. Dr. Roman is co-author of the book, Leading From the Inside Out:  A Coaching Model (2002).  She also co-authored an article, “Professionalism: A Checklist” published in the Pfeiffer Annual Series (2007). She is currently writing a book on coaching for ASTD Press to be published in 2008.
