Participants must own Adobe FrameMaker software in order enroll in this program. A trial version may NOT be used.
Learning Objectives
After the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the FrameMaker interface and use it with more confidence
- Create a single book chapter from scratch and learn how to define Paragraph formats with the Paragraph Designer
- Add color and inline formatting with the Character Designer
- Define running headers and footers that pull live data off the page, and update with document editing
- Add imported images and FrameMaker-drawn graphics to your chapter
- Explore user variables, spell-check, thesaurus, extended characters, and more
- Define table formats with Table Designer to quickly and accurately format multiple tables.
Note: Adobe opted not to upgrade the FrameMaker 7 courseware to version 8. This workshop will use the FrameMaker 7 materials, but we will address the upgraded features during the program.
