  1. Review Submission Instructions and Requirements pages.

  2. Develop your proposal content in MS Word or other software first.
    -Title (10 word maximum)
    -Description (2,000 character maximum-with spaces)
    -Learning Objectives (maximum of 3)
-Delivery Methods (be descriptive but brief)

  3. Select the following options to enter in the submission template:
    -Track
    -Format and Duration
    -Target Audience
    -Learning Approach
  4. Speaker details include job title, organization, mailing address, phone, email, a short bio (include experience speaking, esp. to large groups and subject matter expertise). You will also choose up to three areas of expertise and an industry affiliation for each speaker.

  5. Save a copy of your proposal for your records—ASTD is not able to send you a copy.

  6. Obtain a reference for each speaker with full contact info (someone outside your organization who has heard you speak and can attest to your speaking ability and content knowledge).

  7. Limit your proposals to two per company or individual.

  8. Paste your proposal details into the specific fields of the online template.

  9. Submit your completed proposal. You will see an on-screen verification that your proposal has been submitted and you will receive an email confirmation.

Be sure to follow each step to ensure that your proposal is properly submitted. If you do not see the screen message at the end stating that your proposal has been sent to ASTD, contact ASTD for assistance at speakers@astd.org.
