T&D Headhunters

Question: Are there any headhunters or firms that specialize in placement in the training & development field and how do I contact them? Thanks!

Answer: Your submission did not indicate whether you were willing to relocate or are only interested in job openings in St. Louis. I am not aware of any headhunters or firms that just specialize in placing T&D professionals; however if any national headhunter/outplacement organization has a local office, talk to them about T&D opportunities, both for St. Louis and nationally. However, there are Web-based job listing sites that specialize in T&D opportunities where you can post your resume and access job openings.

Headhunters are not the only way to find job openings. Check with your local ASTD Chapter to see if it has a job hot line for members. If you are presently in a position that brings you into contact with clients/customers, vendors, and suppliers, talk to them about the possibility of opportunities with their organizations and ask for a referral. Join other community and professional organizations that you think could be helpful to you and network at their meetings and other events.
