Item Writing |
Conducted once during the year. Volunteers are responsible for developing multiple choice test questions for the CPLP Knowledge Exam |

In person training (conduct at the annual ASTD International Conference) + independent work over the course of several weeks. Volunteers must be able to commit to the entire schedule in order to particpate and earn recertification points. |

| Item Review |
Typically conducted 2-3 times during the year. Volunteers are responsible for reviewing all newly developed CPLP test items for the multiple choice exam. |

Remote participation conducted via Web Conference format. Any where from 3 - 6 hours of participation required (in some cases time is spread over several days). Volunteers must be able to commit to the entire schedule in order to participate and earn recertification points. |

| Work Product Scoring |
Typically conducted twice during the year. Volunteers are assigned as Raters (responsible for scoring candidate work products) or Team Leads (responsible for rater training, scoring, providing guidance and adjudicating work product submissions. |
Must have Intermediate (rating of 4) expert level (rating of 5) expertise in at least 3 AOE areas. Team Leaders must have prior rater experience. |
In person workshop conducted in Alexandria, VA (at or near the ASTD headquarters), typically over a weekend. 3 - 4 day commitment (4 for Team Leads / 3 or Raters); eight hour work days required. Volunteers must commit to the entire schedule in order to particpate and earn recertification points. |

Conducted as needed. Volunteers are responsible for helping to develop the cut score for newly developed and piloted AOE work product areas. |
