The ASTD Certification Institute (ASTD CI) is an independent organization created by ASTD to take the lead and set professional industry standards for the learning and performance profession.
Our Mission
To elevate the workplace learning and performance profession by:

- Providing an independent assessment of those standards through credentialing
- Supporting career paths through testing
- Ensuring recognition via certification and continued professional development through recertification

What We Do
The ASTD Certification Institute certifies both professionals and courseware.
- Professionals - The Certified Professional in Learning and Performance™ (CPLP™) is a broad based certification program for learning and performance professionals. It is based on the areas of expertise that are outlined in the ASTD Competency Model.
- Courseware - Designed for asynchronous Web-based and multimedia courses, the E-Learning Courseware Certification (ECC) recognizes courses that excel in usability and instructional design.
