Developed during the course of a study commissioned by the U.S. Department of Labor, this report discusses the main findings of a survey of 21 joint labor-management educational programs in a cross-section of industries in the United States, conducted by ASTD. The report reveals the nature and effectiveness of the vast amount of training provided by these joint programs each year. The results paint a picture of "wins" all around: for unions, workers, and employers. (This publication was prepared under grant # AG-11311-01-60 from the 'Employment and Training Administration' of the U.S. Department of Labor).
