By now, you've seen and heard about ASTD's new focus on communities of practice. Many of you attended ASTD's International Conference & Exhibition in May, where you visited us in the Community of Practice networking room or attended ASTD CEO Tony Bingham's presentations that discussed these new communities.

So what does it all mean to you—the human capital learning professional whom ASTD serves?

For starters, it means you now have a dedicated person working for you—a manager whose sole responsibility is to deliver new, unique, and exciting content, and products, services, events, and training that serve your specific needs. When you visit the Human Capital Community of Practice webpage, every week you'll see new blog posts, articles, webcasts, case studies, products, and other content designed just for you. As your interests can vary from day to day, we have made sure to provide you with information and resources across various topics of interest to you, including coaching, mentoring, leadership, trends, performance, and more.

ASTD's community focus also means that you now have a true community in every sense of the word. You'll be able to connect online with those who share similar work and interests, and you can learn from your peers through ASTD's soon-to-launch online social media resources. You'll also be able to contribute content and ideas to your community through blog posts, comments, and discussion groups.

With the Human Capital Community of Practice, ASTD is giving you a stronger voice, both with the association itself and with your fellow members and peers. We encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities; these are tools built for you. Visit the Human Capital Community of Practice webpage to use the content and services there. Use our connection tools to engage with us and with your peers.

This is your community. We're excited to hear from you about how we can keep serving you best.
