Flexwork  is in the news big time this week with Marissa Mayer’s announcement, one day after becoming CEO of Yahoo, that she is pregnant. Advocates for flexwork, such as Anne-Marie Slaughter, the former high-ranking State Department official who wrote about “having it all” in a much-discussed article for The Atlantic, hope Mayer’s situation will prompt more realistic approaches to work/family balance. Permitting more flexibility in when and where people work is the next frontier for many companies seeking to use all of their talent fully.

Watch an upcoming issue of T+D for my interviews with execs at TELUS and Pitney Bowes about how these progressive companies are handling flexwork.
