LinkedIn’s Michael Korcuska Joins ASTD Board of Directors

The American Society for Training & Development announces that Michael Korcuska, Senior Director of Global Customer Operations at LinkedIn, is joining the Society's Board of Directors for a three-year term, 2012-2014.

In his role at LinkedIn, Mr. Korcuska is responsible for supporting LinkedIn's 135 million members and more than 7,000 corporate customers. Prior to joining LinkedIn, he spent 20 years in technology-enabled education and training. Most recently Mr. Korcuska was Executive Director of the Sakai Foundation, a non-profit consortium of universities working together to produce a teaching and learning software platform. He also served as Chief Operating Officer for ELT, a leading compliance-training provider, and has held leadership positions at DigitalThink and Cognitive Arts.

Mr. Korcuska has Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University and Bachelor of Science in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
