Thousands of workplace learning and development professionals from around the world gathered in Chicago May 16-19 for the American Society for Training & Development's 2010 International Conference & Exposition. Now, ASTD's Virtual Conference offering is open for registration, extending the opportunity for even more training professionals to benefit from the content of its successful international conference. Registration is open through June 19 and the virtual conference will be available until June 26, 2010.

The ASTD 2010 International Conference & Exposition welcomed 8,500 people from more than 70 countries, featured 350 educational and networking sessions, and 340 exhibitors. The conference featured its first ever Student Day, and provided additional programming to meet the specific needs of the public sector, higher education, and sales training professionals. Keynote speakers included Daniel Pink, Charlene Li, and Second City Communications. In addition, ASTD unveiled its "paperless policy" at the conference, providing all session handouts electronically in multiple formats. Simultaneous interpretation of many sessions was provided in Korean and Japanese.

The Virtual Conference offering includes the keynote presentations by Daniel Pink and Charlene Li, more than 60 education sessions and 12 live webcast sessions. All conference tracks are represented and virtual conference participants have access to session recordings and dedicated technical support.
