How are member benefits changing in 2014?

ASTD is excited to introduce two great membership options for 2014. Both the Professional ($229) and Professional Plus ($349) tiers will feature all of the same great benefits included with 2013 membership, including T+D magazine, Watch & Learn webcasts, the annual State of the Industry report, research whitepapers, discounts on ASTD conferences and events, and more. 2014 membership is an even better value. New benefits for 2014 include:

How much will membership cost in 2014?

Professional membership will be $229 and Professional Plus membership will be $349. Student, senior, Power Member (joint national-chapter membership), and chapter leader rates will also continue to be available.

Power Member (One Year)	$199	$319	Are you an ASTD Chapter member?ASTD Chapter members qualify for the special Power Member national membership discount. Power Membership offers members twice the support, twice the resources and twice the networking than just one membership.
Senior (One Year)	$90	$210	To qualify for senior membership in 2014, a new member must be at least 65 years of age. Existing ASTD members are welcome to become senior members or continue their existing memberships beginning at age 62.
Student (One Year)	$75	$195	The ASTD student member rate is for students 1) who are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per year (or the equivalent of at least half-time) at an accredited university or college OR 2) who are active ASTD chapter student members.

What will happen to my current membership in 2014?

Great news! Members with active memberships or e-memberships on January 1, 2014 will be upgraded to the top tier of membership, Professional Plus, for as long as they continue to renew without lapse. The upgrade will apply to student, senior, Power Member, chapter leader, and e-memberships, too!

Save big by renewing in 2013! Renew your membership or e-membership at low 2013 rates for as many years as you would like before December 31, 2013—we upgrade all of these additional years of membership to the Professional Plus level.

Why should I join ASTD in 2013?

There has never been a better time to become an ASTD member. What options are available to international learning professionals?

Great news for members around the world—ASTD membership pricing in 2014 is the same for all members, regardless of geographical location. Choose from Professional ($229) or Professional Plus ($349) membership without any additional postage fees. (Due to this change, ASTD e-membership will no longer be available for purchase after December 31, 2013.)

If you are already a member or e-member with a membership active on January 1, 2014, your membership will automatically be upgraded to the new Professional Plus level in January 2014. We will continue to upgrade you to the Professional Plus level for as many years as you maintain your membership without lapse.

Will student membership be available in 2014?

ASTD is proud to support the higher education community. In both 2013 and 2014, ASTD student members receive full membership benefits at a fraction of the regular membership rate!

The ASTD student member rate is for students 1) who are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per year (or the equivalent of at least half-time) at an accredited university or college OR 2) who are active ASTD chapter student members.

Student membership will be $75 per year beginning January 1, 2014. We encourage students to join or renew in 2013 to take advantage of the current $59 rate.

When will the new membership options be available?

ASTD will debut the new Professional and Professional Plus levels of membership January 1, 2014. At that time, all members with active memberships and e-memberships of all types will be automatically upgraded to the Professional Plus membership level. We will continue to upgrade you to the Professional Plus level for as many years as you maintain your membership without lapse.

ASTD e-membership and 2013 individual membership will not be available for purchase after December 31, 2013.

Why is ASTD creating new tiers of membership?

ASTD strives to continually improve the way that we serve our members and the profession as a whole. In response to member feedback as well as direction from our board, we have developed two exciting tiers of membership that provide additional choice and value to our members.
