Congratulations to the October Chapter of the Month, the Maryland Chapter!
This month we recognize the Maryland Chapter for leveraging the Wild Apricot platform to easily identify volunteers. The chapter included a question on its membership application for those interested in volunteering. By using the search contact function via Wild Apricot, the chapter was able to quickly and easily develop a list of members who they could reach out to with volunteer activities.
Chapter leadership found that the sooner these members were contacted about volunteer opportunities after joining, the more success they had recruiting volunteers. Additionally, this new process allowed chapter leaders to align volunteer opportunities with their members’ interest. By streamlining their engagement efforts, the chapter was ultimately able to double their number of chapter volunteers at no additional cost to the chapter.
