ASTD Training Ain't Performance

October 10 in Arlington, VA

Training Ain’t Performance has had rave reviews as a book. Now, it’s a live learning event!

As organizations grow and respond to ever-increasing demands internally and externally, they seek much more than skill and knowledge improvement from their training functions; they want demonstrated performance results.

Based on the award-winning book of the same name, Training Ain’t Performance is a highly interactive learning event that delivers  the key concepts, principles, and tools to transform you into an effective performance consultant.

This one-day event introduces you to the basic concepts and practices of performance consulting, a systematic process that allows training professionals, OD or HRD specialists, and managers to determine whether training or other performance interventions are necessary or sufficient. The day’s activities incorporate materials and exercises that deal with human capital and performance engineering. Using a project relevant to your organization, you’ll learn how to determine what is necessary and feasible to produce results that all stakeholders value, and develop a convincing, data-based report that supports your recommendations.

The full-day session guides you through a thinking and decision-making process that sets the foundation for becoming a true learning and performance professional. You’ll leave with a set of skills and tools that are highly valued in today’s competitive environment.
