Retreat to Analog. Leap to Digital: Capturing the Power of Visuals for Organizational Results
As learning leaders there are a number of changes and challenges that we have no control over. These changes require us to constantly reassess our current practices to ensure learning remains relevant and current, and makes an impact on organizational performance. The 2013 ASTD Forum Fall Summit and Lab is designed to enable participants to gain an understanding of how visuals and images can impact our practice.
Visuals play a critical role in learning. Used effectively, they help organize thoughts more clearly and concisely, promote clarity, aid in recall, enhance energy levels, and create an overall richer learning experience. In essence, visuals help groups, especially enterprises working collectively to produce defined results, to arrive at a common meaning weather it is the organizational vision or the quarterly results.
This is not a drawing class—but you will see how drawing and other visual tools like whiteboarding, visual journalism, storyboards, and infographics can be powerful innovation and learning tools. Attendees will uncover how visuals, both analog and digital, enable learning leaders to communicate more effectively with business partners and colleagues, and design and deliver more innovative products and services.
