Program Overview

This program will teach you how to determine if there is a need for learning or knowledge that can be addressed by a job aid (for example, skills development). You will then learn to plan and design a job aid to bridge that skills or knowledge gap. You will measure the overall impact of job aids on achieving organizational goals, test and validate the effectiveness of the job aid, and learn where this knowledge should reside.

Identify when it is appropriate to design and develop a job aid to improve workplace performance.
Apply tools and processes from the workshop to create effective, performance-based job aids for real-world situations.
Test and validate job aids to ensure that they improve workplace performance and align with organizational goals.

He was certified by ISPI and Dr. Joe Harless as a CPT in August 2003 and he is a project manager and facilitator of HPI processes worldwide. He is a co-author and co-publisher of Performance DNA^TM (analysis tools), used for the analysis of human performance and the “tools of choice” by over 6,000 HPI analysts worldwide. Mr. Mankin has been a member of ASTD for over 20 years and was an adjunct professor at the University of Tulsa, Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore Management University, and a guest lecturer to other colleges and universities in performance improvement technologies. He has been a licensed Merchant Marine Captain since 1985.
