This program, also offered online, will show you how to build a new supervisor training program that facilitates their development and addresses the realities of training new supervisors including how to prepare individuals to make the transition from a contributor to a leader, prevent them from creating new liabilities for your organization, and increase their effectiveness while reducing their learning curve.

Program Overview

Designing a new supervisor training program requires a clear understanding of the skills participants will need to succeed in their new roles. In this certificate program, you’ll learn strategies and best practices for achieving the right learning outcomes for your new supervisor training program, including those for effective coaching, training program roll-out, and training evaluation. You’ll also learn how to determine the right content and methods for your program, using a planning map tool in class to begin designing your own supervisory training module.

Attendance Policy

Face-to-Face Courses

Participation in all originally scheduled days of the program is mandatory in order to receive the certificate of completion and 1.4 CEUs. Participants who miss more than two hours of the entire program will not be eligible to receive the certificate. Participants who fulfill the attendance requirement will receive a certificate at the end of the program.

Online Courses

Participation in all 3 online sessions at their originally scheduled day and time is mandatory in order to receive a completion certificate and 1.4 CEUs. All sessions will be recorded and available for participants to review throughout the course of the program. If you meet the eligibility requirements ASTD will mail you the completion certificate within two weeks of the last session.
