About this Program
FAD or FACT?
You should adjust your training for different learning styles.
Visuals improve learning.
Animations are better than stills to show how things work.
Practice makes perfect.
The higher learners rate the training, the better the learning.
How much resource is your training organization wasting on training myths? Based on her forthcoming ASTD Press book, Evidence-Based Training Methods, Dr. Ruth Clark will lead you on a tour of brain-based learning to include the latest research on the best use of visuals, words, and engagement during learning. Whether you are a facilitator, course designer, or training manager, and whether you work in classroom or e-learning or both, attend this interactive online workshop to sort out fiction from facts regarding:
- Learning styles
- Visuals for learning
- Practice for learning
- Brain-based teaching
During the workshop, participants will apply evidence to their existing training content. Plan to bring a lesson with you to the virtual classroom (i.e. workbook, slides, storyboards)!
Registered participants will receive a FREE copy of Dr. Ruth Clark's book, Evidence-Based Training Methods (ASTD Press, 2010), mailed to them shortly after the workshop begins.
