About this Program
Action Learning is a process that involves a small group working on real problems, taking action, and learning while doing so. A powerful management tool that creates dynamic opportunities for individuals, teams, leaders and organizations to successfully adapt, learn and innovate, action learning can transform the way you and your organization use learning to solve problems and develop employees.
This two-day program helps participants understand how their own actions and experiences can improve performance and will demonstrate why action learning is effective in solving problems, building teams, developing leaders, and creating learning organizations. Discover the six essential elements for successful action learning programs, explore the steps and processes of action learning, and practice coaching action learning groups. The two days will include four demo sessions. All participants will participate as Action Learning group members and up to three participants will have the opportunity to experience coaching an Action Learning session. ASTD offers the Action Learning Certificate Program in partnership with the World Institute for Action Learning-USA. This workshop may be used as the Foundations course for the WIAL-USA Action Learning Certification. If you are interested in learning more about certification in action learning, please visit WIAL’s website at http://www.wial-usa.org/training/certificationSchedule.shtml
