There are no required study materials to prepare for the CPLP®, but this page lists the resources offered by ASTD to help you prepare.

CPLP ® Practice Exam

The CPLP® Practice Exam (pCPLP) tests your knowledge with 75 web-based, multiple-choice questions similar to those on the CPLP® knowledge exam. Complete the pCPLP to receive a high level diagnostic score in each of the nine areas tested (item-level feedback is not provided). The pCPLP has no prerequisites. Take the free exam on your time and at your own computer. It's ideal if you have already registered for a CPLP® testing window or are planning to register.

CPLP ® Prep Podcast Series

This six part series is intended for those who want to learn more about the CPLP® program and for those who are just starting out. This series will help attendees: to learn the basics about the ASTD Competency Model, to make a decision about theCPLP® testing program, to understand how to prepare as well as tips for testing and recertification, and to create an action plan for moving forward with the program.
