General information for 2013 BEST Award Winners:
Due Dates:
August 10: Speaker Release form and 2 to 3 sentence paragraph on presentation topic
August 15: Electronic copy of handout (optional)
Handouts are highly valued, and attendees expect them. Please email a copy of your handouts (no more than 2 pages) to me no later than August 15. ASTD will have copies available as part of our program booklet. We will also post them on the ASTD website so participants have access to all handouts.
Handout Guidelines
- Two page limit. The handout is meant to be a fact sheet highlighting the important aspects of your presentation and best practices. We encourage you to include your contact information for participants who may not be able to attend your session, but who may want to network with you later.
- Please limit graphics, especially large ones, as they do not convert well. Any graphics that are included should be provided as hi res images (EPS) or PDFs. Photos and logos should be high quality.
- As always, ASTD sessions are non-commercial and your handout should reflect that policy. Handouts containing self-promotional materials will be returned for correction. If you need to provide more resources for attendees, please post materials to your website and share the link with attendees during your session.

ASTD's BEST Day of Learning.
Attend the 2012 Learn from the BEST conference featuring keynote speaker David Rock, Founder & CEO of the NeuroLeadership Group and author of Your Brain at Work. Learn from the BEST will take place at the Omni Shoreham Hotel on October 1, 2013, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Learn from the BEST begins with continental breakfast and networking, followed by several morning session, a keynote address delivered by David Rock, lunch and networking, and closes with two more sets of discussions.
BEST Awards Ceremony:
The 2013 ASTD BEST Awards Ceremony & Reception will take place Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, beginning at 5:30 p.m. During this special event we will celebrate your accomplishment and reveal the rankings of the 2013 winners!
