Spend a day with the winners of the 2008 BEST Awards at ASTD’s Learn from the BEST—a one-day workshop where you can learn the secrets to success of the organizations that set the benchmark for workplace learning and performance.

ASTD's BEST Awards recognize organizations for achieving enterprise-wide success through learning. They are BEST at Building talent Enterprise-wide, Supported by the organization’s leaders fostering a Thorough learning culture. The 2008 BEST Award winners will be announced in July.

On October 3, learn how the BEST organizations:

  • have moved from training as a program to making learning enterprisewide to leverage productivity and profitability
  • link learning to individual and organizational performance
  • make learning a business strategy.

Schedule

Learn from the BEST begins with networking and continental breakfast, continues with three sets of roundtable discussions, lunch and networking, and ends with two sets of roundtable discussions. Six to seven discussions take place simultaneously.

  • By Metro, the hotel is a ten minute walk, (eight blocks- .6 miles) from the Crystal City stop. Courtesy shuttle services is available between the metro stop and the hotel.
  • By train, 15 minutes by cab or 7 metro stops from Union Station (Amtrak).
  • By air, 5 minutes from Reagan Washington National (DCA) Airport, and 40-45 minutes from both Dulles International (IAD) and Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airports.
Registration

The cost to attend Learn from the BEST is $270 for ASTD members and $370 for non-members. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. The deadline to register is Friday, September 26, 2008.

If cancellation is necessary, you may receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee if your cancellation is received by September 26.
